We The People

This email in concerning the Ponchatoula Councilman convicted of rape Robert Elzy district D
Did you knwo Councilman Virgil Sanderfer and Dave Higgenbotham were the deciding votes to make Councilman Robert Elzy Mayor Protempt. Elzy voted for himself and then Higgenbotham voted for him and then Councilman Virgil Sanderfer was the deciding vote. All this happened with full knowledge of his pending charges.

I don't think the thinking of guilty until proven other wise was their motivation. Their motivation was the heartless agenda they were pushing against the poor of Ponchatoula. They need Elzy on board to pull it off. His charges didn't matter to them. I'd be willing to bet that they were some of the main people praying that he was found not guilty so they could continue their attack on the poor.

The concerned citizens have been trying to recall Councilman Elzy and Councilman Higgenbotham For three months now. The city owes these citizens a big thanks for getting the process started months ago. But the Mayor (Zabbia) the building inspector Ronnie Perrin, and the city attorney has been in full support of Councilman Elzy because Elzy was a key figure in the their plot to force poor people from being able to live on their own property in the city limits in a mobile home. Together they pushed laws that state that. Mobile Homes are Banned From the City Limits of Ponchatoula. they have no concern at all for regular tax payers who may not at this time be able to build a 300,000.00 home. With the laws they pushed it would rid the city of Ponchatoula of any one who couldn't live up to the standards of housing as those who have been financially blessed. Below is an explanation of what they pushed on the most vulnerable of our citizens. To All Concerned Citizens: The city officials of Ponchatoula are saying that an ordinance was passed in 2004, that all of the city officials are claiming they just found out about, it was there in Feb, 2009. They are all conveniently playing dumb on knowing about this heartless new law. It basically says that. 1. No Mobil Homes are allowed in the city limits on private property ever again. 2. The only place a Mobile Home can come in the city is to a mobile park. 3. All of the Mobile Homes that are in the city on private property already can stay but in the case of a fire or storm, they cannot be replaced on private property. You can only replace them by putting your replacement home in a trailer park. You can not even upgrade to a new mobile home on private property. 4. It also says that if you're putting a Mobile Home in a Mobile Home park in the city limits it can't be over 5 years old. The recall is of even more importance now because Elzy's seat can't begin to be replaced until all his appeals are over which would be at least a year. Or until he formerly resigns, and it's ovious that he doesn't have the character to do something as up standing as that. So if we hadn't started this recall over three months ago we would not be in the position we're in right now, being able to have in on the ballot Now 14. Had these citizens not started the recall before every one else decided he as bad for the city, we would be voting just t recall him sometime in March or April of next year. Mayor Zabbia was so opposed to this recall before the guilty verdict. He continues to delay Elzy'd distric from having representation by encouraging the council to appoint the Chairman of the recall petition on Elzy. Mrs Vera Hally. Please tell the Mayor to stop stalling, stop this heartless fight against the poorest people of our city. I voted and supported the mayor, I'm so disappointed whit him. I’m so disappointed with him because I consider him a personal friend, I would have never thought hee could support something so heartless.
